Disaster Relief Fund
Widespread
flooding has again brought devastation and despair to many
of the southern areas of the Diocese of La Crosse. Tremendous
rainfall over the weekend of June 8-9 induced flooding in
the Kickapoo River Valley area - again inundating areas that
were hit by major flooding just last August. Vernon, Crawford
and Richland counties in our Diocese have been declared federal
disaster areas. Catholic Charities has responded with immediate
flood relief for the victims. In addition, Catholic Charities
has also established an Emergency Relief Fund in order to
provide continuing assistance to our neighbors in need.
Please
consider contributing to the Emergency Relief Fund that is
established for this purpose. Contributions can be made to
your local parish, designated to: Catholic
Charities Flood Relief.
If you
wish, you can make your donation electronically by simply
clicking the yellow DONATE NOW
button located on the left.
Donations
can also be made payable to and directly sent to:
Catholic
Charities Flood Relief
P.O. Box 266
La Crosse, WI 54602-0266

collected will go directly to the people affected by the storms.
Please be generous. Let us do what we can to help those who
are in need!

What

COA is an organization that accredits organizations delivering

Why should Catholic Charities be accredited?
Accreditation is a statement to the communities you serve
and to your funders that your organization has complied with
nationally recognized standards of best practice. It is often
compared with the "Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval." Increasingly,
funding sources such as state governments and managed-care
companies are requiring accreditation by a highly respected
national accrediting body.
